This is a newly created position, and a key member of Covestor’s small team in London.  The Chief Investment and Risk Officer (CIO) will be principally responsible for ensuring that investment decisions made by or on behalf of our clients are in their best interests. Specifically this includes: 

• Investment decision making/support 

           - Model subscription level: Reviewing client’s circumstances and models to recommend best mix for clients. Understand client goals and objectives and assessment of whether objectives being met 
           - Trade level: Trade decision management: Making individual decisions where exceptions occur or where no policy has been defined. 

• Setting operational / system policies 

           - Risk policies: to keep clients from being put at risk, e.g. blacklisted securities, liquidity rules 
           - Investment policies: for delivering models advertised, including setting and monitoring rules for measuring stated strategies, managing drift of clients from models and measuring risk 

• Regulatory Policy Management 

           - Fulfilling the regulatory role of the CIO 
           - Oversight and chair of appropriate committees 
           - Approving regulatory position taken

is passionate about investing, and in shaping the direction of a highly
innovative financial service.  A strong
background in finance and investment management is an absolute
requirement. 

As the key member of a small team you will

Experience

·  The position calls for an experienced investment
management professional

·  Graduate Degree in Finance

·  Current or recent SEC/FSA regulatory
qualifications

·  Strong knowledge of US markets and securities
